“The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

As ardent supporters of the Second Amendment, you and I know that these are absolutely critical to a free society.

With the fall election season heating up here in Indiana, every politician is claiming their support for the Second Amendment as they attempt to earn your support.

Yet once in office, many of these politicians are champing at the bit to do whatever they can to restrict your freedoms in a “common sense” way.

This year, anti-gun politicians across the country are taking advantage of civil unrest and a global outbreak to infringe on the right to keep and bear arms.

These politicians are following the lead of Barack Obama’s former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel who famously said, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.”

Just this year, the Mayor of Champaign, Illinois used fear of the virus to give city officials the right to ban the sale of guns and ammunition and to seize private property!

And riots this summer and fall in Louisville, Chicago and in Kenosha, Wisconsin remind gun owners just how important the Second Amendment truly is.

That’s why it’s so crucial for Hoosiers to know where their politicians stand on the Second Amendment when they are seeking office!

And Indiana’s contest for Governor is heating up this fall — but maybe not the way you were thinking.

Libertarian candidate for Governor Donald Rainwater has publicly stated his support for Constitutional Carry!

Constitutional Carry is the simple concept that would allow law-abiding citizens to carry a handgun for self-defense — without paying a tax and begging the government for permission.

With Constitutional Carry, if you are legally able to possess a handgun, you are legally able to carry it, openly or concealed.

Fifteen other states already have Constitutional Carry, including neighboring Kentucky!

Meanwhile, incumbent Republican Governor Eric Holcomb has yet to take a public position on this landmark pro-gun legislation.

Despite having a bloated rating from the establishment gun lobby, Holcomb is refusing to come out in favor of Constitutional Carry for Hoosiers.

Normally, third party candidates such as Libertarian Donald Rainwater would not draw much attention in Indiana.

But these are not normal times.

A shocking September poll of likely voters shows Libertarian Donald Rainwater at 24 percent support, despite having low name recognition in the Hoosier State.

Much of this gain for Rainwater has come even as Holcomb’s support has plunged from 64 percent in May, down to 36 percent in the September poll.

Meanwhile, Democrat candidate for Governor Woody Myers is polling at 30 percent.

Woody Myers is also refusing to support Constitutional Carry.

But this shouldn’t be a surprise since Woody Myers has been endorsed by the Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action gun control groups!

With endorsements from Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action, Woody Myers tacitly supports California-style gun control.

As a reward for this radical behavior, Myers has been branded a “Gun Sense” Candidate by these gun control groups.

With how close this race is all of a sudden, this is giving gun owners a perfect opportunity to lobby the incumbent Governor Holcomb to come out in support of Constitutional Carry.

Frankly, the reason why this race is so close is because Holcomb has lost a great deal of prior support this year due to his heavy-handed response to COVID-19, in which he harshly restricted the rights of individuals, small businesses, and other institutions.

But gun owners have also noticed the unmistakable difference among Indiana’s candidates for Governor when it comes to gun rights.

That’s why Hoosier Gun Rights is dedicated to keeping constituents informed about the true positions of your elected officials and candidates.

With members and supporters across Indiana, we are giving people across the Hoosier State a loud voice in defense of our gun rights.

And trust me, the politicians can hear you.

In fact, there is no better time to lobby them than when they are seeking your support at election time.

So please contact incumbent Republican Governor Eric Holcomb at (317) 232-4567 to insist he publicly support Indiana becoming the next Constitutional Carry state.

Also contact Democratic candidate Woody Myers at (317) 964-0699 to insist he reverse course, reject gun control, and start standing up for the Second Amendment rights of Hoosiers.

Then contact Libertarian candidate Donald Rainwater at (317) 492-3765 to thank him for publicly supporting Constitutional Carry. Urge him to continue in his strong stance.

Remember, politicians of all stripes are listening closely to gun owners with the fall election just around the corner.

With our rights at stake in Indiana, now is the time to take action!

For Freedom, Brenden Boudreau
